  • 1 teaspoon Igotchu Garlic Lovers

For the Homemade Tzatziki Sauce

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt

  • 1/2 cup cucumber, finely chopped

  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped

  • 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled

  • 1 teaspoon Igotchu Garlic Lovers

  • 1/2 teaspoon Igotchu Himalayan Salt & Pepper, or to taste

  • 1 teaspoon Igotchu Greek Seasoning

For Assembling the Gyros

  • 4–6 pita breads or Greek-style flatbreads

  • 1 medium cucumber, sliced or diced

  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced

  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced

  • Additional crumbled feta cheese (optional)

  • Fresh dill, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Grilled Chicken

1. Marinate the chicken.

Slice the chicken into strips or evenly sized pieces. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, Igotchu Greek Seasoning, and Garlic Lovers. Add the chicken, toss to coat, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.

2. Grill the chicken.

Preheat a lightly oiled griddle over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for approximately 4–6 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until golden brown and cooked through to an internal temperature of 165°F. Let rest for 5 minutes.

Prepare the Homemade Tzatziki Sauce

3. Mix the ingredients.

In a medium bowl, combine sour cream and Greek yogurt. Stir in the finely chopped cucumber, fresh dill, crumbled feta cheese, Igotchu Garlic Lovers, Himalayan Salt & Pepper, and Greek Seasoning. Mix until well combined.

4. Chill the sauce.

Cover and refrigerate for 15–30 minutes to allow the flavors to develop. For a thicker sauce, remove excess moisture from the chopped cucumber before mixing.

Assemble the Chicken Gyros

5. Prepare the toppings.

Slice the cucumbers, tomatoes, and red onion. Warm the pita breads on the griddle for approximately 30–60 seconds per side until soft and lightly toasted.

6. Build the gyros.

Spread a generous spoonful of homemade tzatziki sauce onto each warm pita. Add the grilled chicken, cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions.

7. Serve and enjoy!

Top with additional tzatziki sauce, crumbled feta, or fresh dill if desired. Fold the pita around the filling and serve immediately!

Tips for the Best Chicken Gyros

  • Marinate for maximum flavor: Let the chicken absorb the Igotchu seasonings before grilling.

  • Get a beautiful sear: Preheat the griddle to achieve golden, flavorful chicken.

  • Keep the tzatziki creamy: Remove excess moisture from the cucumber before adding it to the sauce.

  • Use fresh ingredients: Fresh dill, crisp cucumbers, and juicy tomatoes make all the difference.

  • Warm the pita: Lightly toasted pita bread makes the gyros even more delicious.

  • Make it a complete meal: Serve with Greek salad, seasoned fries, or roasted vegetables.
