High-Speed Blender Guide 2022

High-speed blenders are very popular today. They are more expensive than traditional blenders, with prices ranging from $500 and above. But yes, they are still popular and in-demand.

At first, they were just found on commercial kitchens and cooking shows. But now that manufacturers have been able to make it more affordable for regular consumers, they are much more common for home cooks.

But why is it in-demand? What is its difference from a cheaper, traditional blender?

The answer is obvious – it is because of the speed. High-speed blenders have powerful motors that can make hard foods smooth. From spinach stems to kale leaves, they all become silky, smooth purees when dropped in a high-speed blender.

Top reasons why you need a high-speed blender

  • You’ll benefit from having one in your kitchen if you make lots of smoothies that consist of high-fiber ingredients. If you use a blender a lot in general, this can help.
  • If you’re looking for a new, high-quality blender, try considering this type. There must be a brand out there that suits your budget, so take a plunge.
  • High-speed blenders are more functional. And as mentioned earlier, they have strong, powerful motors and can last longer.

How to Use a High-Speed Blender

When using a high-speed blender, there are four things to keep in mind:

  1. Work with it

Don’t just leave the blender after setting the timer. You’ll need to nudge it along, especially when you’re blending thicker ingredients. If you’re a beginner and want to get more acquainted with how the high-speed blender operates, try making a small variety of recipes first. Start with basic smoothies or soup and see what happens.

  1. Load it strategically

Don’t just toss the ingredients. If you want to get the best results, add the liquids first. Next, add the powders, solids, and ice. This order will make your food blend smoothly. You can also buy recipes designed for high-speed blenders. This is a good move if you’re just getting started. Eventually, you’ll get the gist and start adapting different recipes without looking at the books.

  1. Know all the variable speeds

Most models of high-speed blenders come with a knob. This is called the variable speed dial that can be cranked up from 1 to 10. Make sure to start with the lowest variable speed and work up from that. Doing this can help prevent the motor from getting overworked. It also prevents the food from splatting around the blender jar, so you don’t have to pause often to scrape the sides.

However, you shouldn’t run it at low speed for too long. It can also overwork the motor. Just begin on low and gradually increase the variable speed. The blending time for most foods is under a minute. But if you’re making thick pastes, it can last for a couple of minutes.

You will also notice that sometimes the blades are spinning but the food won’t catch. This might be because there is not enough food on the jar or there are air bubbles near the blades. If it’s the latter, get a tamper and push the food closer to the blades.

  1. Soak some ingredients first

Nut milks, nut-based sauces, and other recipes need presoaking before putting in the blender. Sure, your blender is high-quality, durable, and powerful, but soaking is a great idea for nuts and dates because it can give you smoother results.

A high-speed blender is an investment. Yes, it is a great buy, especially if you love cooking and making smoothies. You will be able to make tastier juices, desserts, drinks, dressings, and so much more with this tool in your kitchen.
