Ingredients

For the Dressing

  • 3 Tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 3 Tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 Tbsp palm sugar or light brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp neutral oil
  • 2 Thai red chiles, finely minced
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced
  • ½ tsp Igotchu Seasonings Garlic Lovers
  • ½ tsp Igotchu Seasonings Spicy Onion Garlic Pepper

For the Steak

  • 1½ lbs sirloin steak
  • 1 Tbsp neutral oil
  • 1 tsp Igotchu Seasonings Steak
  • 1 tsp Igotchu Seasonings No Salt Onion Garlic Pepper
  • ½ tsp Igotchu Seasonings Garlic Lovers

For the Salad

  • 12 oz mixed salad greens
  • 1 large ripe mango, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ½ large English cucumber, sliced
  • 1 large carrot, julienned or shredded
  • 1 medium shallot, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup fresh mint leaves
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • ½ cup fresh Thai basil leaves
  • ½ cup roasted peanuts, roughly chopped, plus more for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Dressing:
In a small bowl, whisk together the lime juice, fish sauce, palm sugar, oil, Thai chiles, garlic, Garlic Lovers, and Spicy Onion Garlic Pepper until the sugar dissolves. Set aside to allow the flavors to blend.

Cook the Steak:
Pat the steak dry and lightly coat with oil. Season both sides with Steak, No Salt Onion Garlic Pepper, and Garlic Lovers. Heat a grill, grill pan, or cast-iron skillet over high heat. Cook the steak for about 2–4 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired doneness. Remove from the heat and allow to rest for 10 minutes. Slice thinly against the grain.

Assemble the Salad:
Add the salad greens, mango, tomatoes, cucumber, carrot, shallot, mint, cilantro, Thai basil, sliced steak, and peanuts to a large bowl. Pour about ¾ of the dressing over the salad and gently toss.

Transfer to a serving platter and drizzle with additional dressing. Garnish with extra chopped peanuts and serve immediately.

Notes

For less heat, reduce or omit the Thai red chiles—the Spicy Onion Garlic Pepper will still give the dressing a delicious kick. For extra Igotchu flavor, sprinkle a little additional No Salt Onion Garlic Pepper over the finished salad before serving.
