Fried Okra
2 pounds of fresh okra
½ cup of buttermilk
1 ½ cup zatarains fish fry coating
1 T Igotchu lemon garlic pepper seasoning
Preheat oil to 350 in a deep fryer, heavy skillet or pot. Wash okra and cut into ½ inch pieces. Place cut okra in a medium bowl and cover with buttermilk stirring to coat. Mix 1 and ½ cups of Zatarains fish fry coating and 1 tablespoon of Igotchu lemon garlic pepper together in large bowl. Dredge okra in seasoned fish fry coating to cover all. Place okra in preheated oil, do not overfill, do a batch at a time. Let fry for 3 to 5 minutes until golden brown. Drain and serve
